Privacy Policy

ARMIT Company ("ARMIT," "we," "us," or "our") builds connected monitoring products and services, including the armit.co website and online store, the myARMIT mobile application, ARMIT MAX Series devices, and NOTIFI alert services delivered over the EarthSmart Network.
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to armit.co, the myARMIT app for iOS and Android, and the monitoring and notification services connected to them. By using our websites, apps, products, or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Account information. When you create a myARMIT account we collect your name, email address, password, and notification phone number.
- Notification recipients. You may add phone numbers and email addresses of people who should receive alerts from your devices. You are responsible for having permission from those individuals before adding them. Recipients can opt out of text alerts at any time by replying STOP.
- Device setup information. Activation codes, device names, and the locations you assign to your devices.
- Purchase information. If you buy products through armit.co, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, and contact details. Payment card processing is handled by our payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Support communications. Information you provide when you contact our support team.
Information collected automatically
- Device and sensor telemetry. Our monitoring devices transmit operational readings such as water level, temperature, humidity, motion, impact, power status, battery voltage, and energy usage, along with device identifiers, gateway identifiers, signal information, and timestamps. This telemetry describes the monitored asset and the device, and is associated with your account.
- Location information. With your permission, the myARMIT app collects your device's precise location to support features such as local weather, tide, and environmental conditions, and to associate devices with their physical locations. You can disable location access in your phone's settings, though some features may not work without it.
- App and website usage. When you use our app or website we receive technical information such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, and pages or screens viewed. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic site functionality and shopping cart operation.
- Weather and environmental data. The app displays weather, wind, tide, and related conditions sourced from third-party and government data providers based on device or user location.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain our monitoring services, including delivering real-time alerts by push notification, text message, and email.
- Create and manage your account, authenticate you, and secure our services.
- Process orders, payments, shipping, and returns for purchases made through armit.co.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Send service and transactional communications, such as alert notifications, account confirmations, and important updates about your devices or service.
- Monitor the health, performance, and security of our devices and network.
- Improve our products and services.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Text Message (SMS) Program
NOTIFI text alerts are sent only to phone numbers that have been provided by an account holder for the purpose of receiving monitoring alerts. Message frequency varies based on device activity and your alert settings. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. You can also contact us at support@armit.co.
No mobile opt-in information or telephone numbers collected for the NOTIFI text program will be shared with, sold to, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data is used solely to deliver the alerts and service messages you have requested.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors to perform services on our behalf, such as telecommunications carriers and messaging providers that deliver text alerts, email delivery services, payment processors, shipping carriers, and hosting infrastructure. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Within your account. Alert information is shared with the notification recipients you designate.
- Business customers. If your device is provided or managed through a business account, such as a marina, property manager, or fleet operator, that account administrator may have access to device telemetry, alerts, and related account information for the devices under their management.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ARMIT, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If ARMIT is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Device telemetry and event history are retained to provide historical logs, trend information, and service records, and may be retained in aggregated or de-identified form for network operations and product improvement. We retain purchase records as required for tax, accounting, and warranty purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted transmission, access controls, and network monitoring. Device communications on the EarthSmart Network are encrypted. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Account information. You can review and update your account information in the myARMIT app.
- Notifications. You can adjust which alerts you receive, and add or remove notification recipients, in the app. Text recipients can reply STOP at any time.
- Location. You can enable or disable the app's access to your location in your phone's settings.
- Account deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information through the myARMIT app or by emailing support@armit.co. We will honor verified requests, subject to information we must retain by law.
- Marketing. If you receive marketing emails from us, you can unsubscribe using the link in the email. Service and alert communications will continue while your account is active because they are the core function of the service.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law, including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Residents of California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may submit requests by emailing support@armit.co. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
8. Children's Privacy
Our websites, apps, and services are intended for general audiences and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@armit.co and we will delete it.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
Our websites and apps may link to third-party sites and services, including our online store checkout, payment providers, and external content. Those services operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice through our websites, the app, or by email. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
